Question 1: Are Massages Painful?
Although as a whole, massages should be a very relaxing experience, certain massages can cause more discomfort than others. However, don’t let this put you off, as the discomfort is temporary and often a sign of muscles being worked. The more treatments you receive the less painful you are likely to find them and the more benefits you’ll feel.Lighter treatments such as a Swedish Massage may be painless, whereas Sports Massages require significantly more pressure to be applied. If you do experience any pain during your treatment, notify your therapist immediately who will be able to advise.
Question 2: How Do I Know What Type of Massage Is Right for Me?
Knowing which massage treatment is right for you can be confusing and will depend upon your specific needs, symptoms and lifestyle. If you have specific requirements, contact your therapist beforehand to discuss the most suitable treatment. This will also allow them to appropriately tailor the treatment to provide the best possible and most effective massage. For further information, please call 07496 602 809.
